Een Milanese zakenman met een groot vastgoedimperium heeft zijn zinnen gezet op de bouw van een luxe resort bij het strand van een slaperig dorpje op Sardinië. La vita va così is gebaseerd op een waargebeurd conflict rond een Sardijnse herder, die jarenlang weigerde zijn land te verkopen aan projectontwikkelaars die er een luxe vakantieresort wilden bouwen. Regisseur Riccardo Milani maakte van dit verhaal een warm komisch drama over de botsing tussen economische vooruitgang en het behoud van natuur, traditie en gemeenschapszin. Director Riccardo Milani turned this story into a warm comedic drama about the clash between economic progress and the preservation of nature, tradition, and community spirit. The lead role is played by Giuseppe Ignazio Loi, a real Sardinian shepherd who had never acted before and, precisely because of this, garnered much praise for his natural performance. The film opened the Rome Film Festival in 2025 and was subsequently screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. In Italy, La vita va così was a big hit.
